Graduate Certificate in Engineering Secure Software

The Department of Computer Science offers a set of graduate courses on campus leading to a Certificate in Secure Software Systems. Students completing the four courses will receive a Graduate Certificate in Secure Software Systems from UCCS. In addition, the courses can constitute 40% of the following programs: Master of Science in Computer Science, Master of Engineering in Cybersecurity or Software Systems Engineering (MESSE). In addition, it can be used in the PhD in Engineering degree program.
Our ME Cybersecurity degree program and curriculum are certified by the National Security Agency/Department of Homeland Security (NSA/DHS) National Center of Academic Excellence in 2022 and NSA’s Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) and meet the Information Assurance Professional (4011) Training Standards.
Required Prerequisite Knowledge
Note: Some of these courses may have prerequisites, and any comparable course from another approved university will suffice.

These four classes are offered regularly during the Fall or Spring semester. On-site training can be arranged when time and schedule permit. Some of these courses may have prerequisites, and any comparable course from another approved university will suffice. Students must earn grades of B or better in all courses to be counted toward the certificate.
