Criminal Justice Minor

Students who obtain a minor in Criminal Justice will be able to understand the social and behavioral contributors to crime and delinquency; gain knowledge of the nature and causes of crime; and understand the components of the criminal justice system: police, prosecutorial and defense functions, judiciary and field of corrections.
Policies and Procedures
Refer to the College of Public Service General Information section of this academic catalog for the eligibility criteria, policies, and procedures relevant to this program.
General Requirements
- 18 credit hours of Criminal Justice (CRJU) coursework, including a minimum of 9 credit hours of upper-division CRJU courses.
- Students must earn a grade of C or better in each course required for the minor.
- Minor requirements may not be taken pass/fail.
- No more than 9 credit hours of transfer work, including no more than 6 upper-division credit hours, may count toward the minor in Criminal Justice.

Plus, two additional courses in Criminal Justice, one of which must be upper-division (courses listed from 3000-4999)
