Engineering Secure Software Certificate

UCCS Computer Science Department offers a set of graduate courses on campus leading to a Certificate in Secure Software Systems. Students completing the four courses will receive a Graduate Certificate in Secure Software Systems from UCCS. In addition, the courses can constitute 40% of the following programs: Master of Science in Computer Science, Master of Engineering with focus in Information Assurance (MEIA) or Software Systems Engineering (MESSE). In addition, it can be used in the PhD in Engineering degree program.
Our MEIA degree program and curriculum are certified by the National Security Agency’s (NSA) Committee on National Security Systems (CNSS) and meet the Information Assurance Professional (4011) Training Standards. Successful graduates of the MEIA degree program will receive the CNSS Information Assurance Professional (4011) certificate without additional testing requirements.

Note: Some of these courses may have prerequisites, and any comparable course from another approved university will suffice.

These four classes are offered regularly during Fall or Spring semester. On-site training can be arranged when time and schedule permit. Some of these courses may have prerequisites, and any comparable course from another approved university will suffice. Students must earn grades of B or better in all courses to be counted toward the certificate.
