SOWK 3050 - The Helping Relationship II3 Credits (Minimum) 3 Credits (Maximum)
This course builds upon the foundation established in SOWK 3001 (The Helping Relationship I) and is designed to deepen students’ understanding of generalist social work practice with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities. Students will develop intermediate communication and assessment skills and begin to explore intervention strategies. There is a strong emphasis on developing the knowledge and skills for effective practice, with a particular focus on preparing students for senior field practice. Prer., SOWK 3001.
