SOC 4310 - Class, Stratification and Power

Critical analysis of the theories and research on socioeconomic class and the reproduction of privilege, with a focus on the American class system. Addresses the prevailing cultural ideologies surrounding class as well as the ways in which class intersects with race, gender and sexuality. Prer., SOC 3070; coreq., SOC 3150 or consent of instructor. Meets with SOC 5310 and WEST 4310.
